To tell a story, an idea, or even an emotion through crafted means seems to be quite baffling. How can showing someone the color blue make them express sorrow or being exposed to yellow make someone so joyful. To tell someone information in this way, it seems quite impossible. However, the claims of impossible tasks are always the ones worth doing. From here, graphic design enters. It's a way to inform and display meanings where other mediums seem to fall. While some may see it as a form of advertising only, it also keeps the public aware of the world around them. Walking stick figures on traffic signs quickly inform the cars of the pedestrians in the area. A skull with crossbones on a bottle informs the viewer quickly that the material inside is deadly. Small things working smoothly day to day. Other times it will be inspiring for it is a form of art to which all of us can connect to on a natural level.

For my themed projects for this show, I wanted to comprise something that would help those during the pandemic who have a difficult time being with themselves. If it is diagnosed or not, mental health is important in any regard.  Form this concept, I made the campaign Happy With Myself. A more youth focused mental health awareness campaign. Since there are so many people who find it hard to get by, a bit of motivation from the one person who can support you the most is a large leap in positive self care. This person has and only can yourself. Happy With Myself is to give forms of motivation and reminders to help you help yourself.
